Our journey started in the most natural way possible, inside a Chartered Accountant’s office.
Everyday, we saw small businesses, startups, and even established companies struggle with something as essential as accounting. Some were stuck on Excel and outdated desktop software, others juggling between Tally and multiple tools and many found cloud solutions very basic to handle real accounting needs.
The frustration was the same everywhere: too much manual work, too little automation, and no platform designed for their industry.
As practicing CAs, we knew this wasn’t just an inconvenience, it was a barrier to growth. That’s why we started hisabkitab, first as a service company, managing 200+ clients with a team of 50 accountants across cities. But we soon realized that scaling manpower wasn’t the long-term solution. Businesses didn’t just need more accountants, they needed better accounting software.
That insight became our turning point.
We asked ourselves: What if accounting could be as simple as chatting on WhatsApp?
What if CAs and businesses could manage everything (invoicing, bookkeeping, compliance, tax workflows, and reporting) on one automated platform?
