Question 1

Can I import my existing Tally data into cloud accounting software without losing history?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Accuhisab kitab's Data Import feature allows businesses to migrate all their Tally data including ledgers, invoices, party masters, stock items, opening balances, and historical transactions directly into Accuhisab kitab in a single operation without losing any records or accuracy. This makes switching from Tally to cloud accounting seamless and zero-disruption.

Question 2

What data can I import into Accuhisab kitab from Tally or Excel?

Accepted Answer

Accuhisab kitab supports import of all core accounting data ledger accounts and groups, customer and supplier master records (party masters), stock items and categories, sales and purchase invoices, opening balances, vouchers, and bulk transaction data via Excel or CSV files. This covers everything a business needs to bring its complete accounting history into Accuhisab kitab without starting from scratch.

Question 3

How does AI mapping work during data import in Accuhisab kitab?

Accepted Answer

When data is imported from Tally or Excel into Accuhisab kitab, the AI mapping engine automatically matches each imported ledger, party master, or stock item to the correct account group and category in Accuhisab kitab's chart of accounts without requiring manual field-by-field mapping. This eliminates the most tedious part of data migration for businesses and CAs, and ensures every imported record lands in exactly the right place in the new system.

Question 4

Will my ledger opening balances stay intact after importing data into Accuhisab kitab?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Accuhisab kitab's data import process preserves all opening balances exactly as they exist in Tally or Excel ensuring your Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, and Profit & Loss Statement reflect the correct starting position after migration. This is critical for businesses migrating mid-year, as it ensures there is no gap or discrepancy between the historical records in Tally and the new records going forward in Accuhisab kitab.

Question 5

How secure is my financial data during the import process in Accuhisab kitab?

Accepted Answer

All data uploaded during the import process in Accuhisab kitab is encrypted end-to-end from the moment the file is uploaded to when it is processed and stored in the cloud. No uploaded data is accessible to third parties, and all files are processed on secure servers with enterprise-grade encryption. Businesses can migrate even highly sensitive financial records with complete confidence that their data is protected throughout the import process.

Question 6

Can I import invoices and transactions in bulk via Excel into Accuhisab kitab?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Accuhisab kitab supports bulk Excel import for sales invoices, purchase invoices, ledger entries, and party masters allowing businesses to upload hundreds or thousands of records at once via a structured Excel template. This is particularly useful for businesses that maintain their records in Excel and want to move to Accuhisab kitab, as well as high-volume traders and e-commerce sellers who need to import large batches of orders and invoices regularly. Excel import is available from the Boost Plan (₹4,999/year) onwards.

Question 7

Does Accuhisab kitab detect duplicate records during data import?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Accuhisab kitab's data import engine automatically scans for duplicate invoices, duplicate party masters, and duplicate ledger entries during the import process flagging any records that already exist in the system or appear more than once in the uploaded file. This prevents double-counting of transactions and duplicate supplier or customer records that would otherwise create reconciliation errors in your books after migration.

Question 8

Is data import in Accuhisab kitab particularly useful for CAs migrating multiple client accounts?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Accuhisab kitab's data import feature is designed with CA workflows in mind. Chartered Accountants who manage multiple client companies in Tally can migrate each client's complete data ledgers, masters, invoices, and opening balances into Accuhisab kitab one company at a time using the same import workflow. The AI mapping engine handles ledger categorisation automatically for each client, and all migrated data is immediately accessible via the centralised CA Consultant dashboard.

Question 9

How long does it take to migrate from Tally to Accuhisab kitab using the data import feature?

Accepted Answer

For most businesses, the core data migration from Tally to Accuhisab kitab takes less than an hour depending on the volume of historical data being imported. The import wizard guides users through each step, the AI mapping engine handles ledger matching automatically, and the system validates data integrity before finalising the import. Most businesses are fully operational on Accuhisab kitab with their complete historical data on the same day they start the migration process.

Question 10

Accepted Answer
